Every year at this time I reflect on the previous year. This year I could not help but stand back, pause and look at all the wonderful people that I am so honored to be working for and with, at Novick.

28 years ago, I was a long-term client of Novick’s. I was the cook for a large childcare center in the suburbs of Philadelphia. From the time I started working for this childcare center, I realized how special Novick was. At that time, we were ordering from every broadline food distributor in Philadelphia. After meeting Bill Novick, I asked our owner if I could transfer all of our business to Novick Brothers. The care and attention I received from everyone at Novick, especially my driver, Mike, was far and above my prior customer service experience.

When the Novick’s decided to specialize in childcare and hired our president and co-owner, Jay Hobby to assist them on that mission nearly two decades ago, they offered me a position. I cannot tell you what an honor it has been to work for this company and support all of you, our wonderful clients, on your mission to provide the best nutrition program possible for your children.

Many of our staff at Novick come from childcare backgrounds like myself and we understand what you go through every day at your centers. We want to be there to do the heavy lifting for you with your food program.

So, this gets me to the title of my writing “Why Novick”. At Novick we not only have the expertise that is needed to run a balanced, nutritious, and compliant food program, but we genuinely care about your mission, your staff, your children, and their families. Your mission is our mission. You deserve to have this kind of partnership.

As this new year begins, let me wish you all a healthy and successful year. Thank you for all that you do for your children, their families, and your community.
